Bio
KAO Production was founded in 2002. What started as a simple Industrial/gothic night (Replikant/Elysium) quickly became Montreal's most attended venue for these kind of live performances. Helped by a strong team, KAO Production reestablish Montreal as one of the major cities in North America for Industrial/EBM/Gothic live performances.
The first significant event to take the scene by storm was the Hocico/Haujobb tour (metropolis records), this concert was groundbreaking in the eyes of majors labels. 2002 marked a brilliant start. KAO Production achieved to bring on stage such accomplished artists as: WesternDream, Psyche, Headscan, Decoded Feedback, Mind Confusion, Cut.Rate.Box, Battery Cage, Hocico, Haujobb & Terrorfakt.
2003 was a year to remember for the Montreal scene. KAO Production achieved to bring a record number of bands in Montreal. The year started with the KAO Production first year anniversary, with a special Easter party with Horrorist/Acrosome and Things to come records DJ's. The following month, Covenant (Sony records artist) with an assistance of more than 500 people shown that Montreal was still very alive. After this, KAO Production focused on their next move : the first Funker Vogt Canadian Tour ever. All accross Canada : Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal. This tour was a total success. With a more than 20 original acts for 2003; Horrorist, Acrosome, Flesh Field, Covenant, Melotron, Funker Vogt, Terrorfakt, Epsilon Minus, Decoded Feedback, God Module, Assemblage 23, Culture Kultur, Headscan, Mentat, Cruxshadows, S.V.D., E-Craft, Razed in Black, Glis & Ayria, 2003 will be a year to remember.
